“We often forget that WE ARE
NATURE. Nature is not something separate from us. So when we say that we have
lost our connection to nature, we’ve lost our connection to ourselves.”

These week long day camps will take
place in Toronto’s Urban Parks. We
will take advantage of the quiet mornings to discover the natural rhythm of
learning in nature. Using the land
art of Andy Goldsworthy as inspiration, we will explore nature to discover the
artistic possibilities of the natural materials (stone, water, wood, leaves
etc) in different settings. We
will guide the children to create land art and give them the opportunity to investigate,
problem solve and express their understanding of the materials. Each day and through the week we will
document our work together with digital photography, sketching and journals as
way to both share and capture our learning through our art.
